About Launch
A Career Planning Program
- Designed for Ohio JFS services recipients on:
- Over 24 receiving OWF Cash Assistance, or
- Under 24 who are served through CCMEP and OhioMeansJobs.com, or
- Receiving SNAP benefits AND in the STRIVE program, or
- Actively participating in the OWF Employment Incentive Program
- AND Receiving Services through Stark County, Ohio
- Fully online, work at your own pace
- Set your goals and build a career plan for your future
- Join anytime!
- Connections to training & education
- Build your individualized career plan
- Earn up to $100 in gift cards for completing the course

Who is eligible for Launch?
- Individuals over 24 who are receiving Ohio Works First (OWF) Cash Assistance
- Individuals under 24 who are served through CCMEP and OhioMeansJobs.com
- Individuals receiving SNAP Food Assistance AND are participating in the STRIVE program
- Individuals who are actively participating in the OWF Employment Incentive Program
- Receiving Services through Stark County, Ohio
If you are currently receiving SNAP benefits through Jobs and Family Services (JFS), talk to your caseworker about STRIVE. You can get gas cards and bus passes to help with getting to training with Elevate Life Network.
How to enroll?
You can express interest in joining STRIVE by calling 330-451-8282, emailing Stark-STRIVE@jfs.ohio.gov, or submitting a request through the Ohio Benefits Self-Service Portal.
To join the STRIVE program in Stark County, Ohio, contact Stark County Job and Family Services. You can express your interest by calling 330-451-8282, emailing Stark-STRIVE@jfs.ohio.gov, or completing a request through the Ohio Benefits Self-Service Portal. You need to be an active SNAP participant or eligible for SNAP and meet referral criteria.

Express Interest:
Reach out to the STRIVE program to indicate your interest.
Eligibility Check:
Ensure you are an active SNAP participant or meet the referral criteria for SNAP.
Initial Contact:
Once your interest is received, a program advocate will contact you to schedule a meeting.
Meeting and Assessment:
During the meeting, the advocate will discuss your employment goals, needs, and strengths.
Ongoing Support:
Your advocate will be your partner throughout the program, providing guidance, support, and connecting you with resources.
Additional Information:
Optional Participation:
Enrolling in STRIVE is optional for SNAP participants, and it won't affect your benefits.
