About Us

Elevate Life Network is a Non-Profit Organization Abolishing Relational, economic, and Spiritual Poverty Through Career and Community Development

The Problem

In the fall of 2019 Westbrook Park Church was living into a new vision of being Christ to our neighborhood and the larger community of Canton, Ohio.  Realizing our community had changed across time and we as a church had not, we began an intentional search for ways to become more like Christ to a neighborhood that looked less like who we had become in that same period of time.  We discovered and began to pursue ways of being Christ to all people; we were looking for ways to be the Kingdom of God in our neighborhood.

Finding Crosspurpose

Realizing that poverty was more than a financial circumstance, we discovered a not for profit in Denver, Colorado, called “CrossPurpose”.  CrossPurpose seeks to eradicate not only economic poverty- but relational and spiritual poverty through personal and community development.  We discovered that it was a real way of meeting the whole person with real solutions to the realities of poverty in our neighborhoods.

In early 2020, our pastor went to spend 4 days onsite at CrossPurpose in Denver.  During that experience, he witnessed the reality of life change and community transformation that could occur one person at a time by addressing the deeper issues of economic, relational, and spiritual poverty.  A vision  for the Westbrook Park neighborhood and Canton, Ohio was planted.

The Creation of Elevate Life Network

In casting this vision to the people of Westbrook Park church it was received enthusiastically by the leaders of the church.  In laying the groundwork for the implementation of the Elevate Life Network, a deeper truth became apparent.  In our vision  of transforming our neighborhood one person at a time, we were also changing ourselves.  This vision led us to take our focus off of ourselves and see the people Christ would have seen- and helped.

We believe that Elevate Life Network is capable of changing lives and our community for the better; moving them from generational poverty to generational wealth.

what elevate Life NEtwork does

Canton is being left behind. While the area is flourishing, many of the residents of Canton are left in a never ending cycle of poverty. I want to not just help those in poverty , but help them out. Through ELN we can end the cycle of poverty and begin a cycle of growth and self-sufficiency.

At ELN we will spend 6 weeks developing the soft skills needed to maintain a job. We are not just training people to get jobs, but to keep them.
